Lauren Everitt is the Editor-in-Chief of MindSky. She has worked as a freelance journalist specializing in East Africa news and travel. She most recently wrote the first chapter on Rwanda for Fodor's The Complete Guide To African Safaris. Previously, she was the Nairobi-based online editor for allAfrica.com and the news and features editor for Poets&Quants. She's also worked in Cape Town, South Africa, as a volunteer journalist and as a global health blogger for Northwestern University. Lauren holds a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University, where she completed fellowships with the BBC News Magazine and the Medill National Security Project. Her writing has appeared on the BBC News website, allAfrica.com, The Washington Post, CNN Money/Fortune, Radio Netherlands Worldwide, The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, and Thrillist.
